Welcome to the series on weekly transits, out every Monday afternoon!
The transits for this week are varied, intense, and the last thing from boring. I don’t know about you, but as much as I like stability, I also find boredom to be a death sentence. For those of you like me, this week will make you feel alive.
Today we have Mars trine Neptune while Venus squares Saturn. It looks like attempting to get things done in a specific way, but ending up going a different route. For instance, I went shopping with my mom yesterday, and I had a very specific list of items that could only be gotten at specific stores. And every store I went to was out of what I needed. There went my plans! But in each store, my mom and I found silly things to talk about and bond over, and I ended up trying products I never considered before. All in all, it was a really good trip. Just not at all what I had planned.
Tomorrow, Mercury opposes Uranus, and then trines Neptune on Wednesday. I like to think of this as knowledge coming from the ether. Uranus is the lighting strike, the catalyst, and Neptune is our connection to greater forces. Maybe a problem you’ve been having will spontaneously resolve, or at least you’ll have more insight.
And yes, before you ask, this could mean sudden news that changes your life for better or worse, or at least throws you for a loop. Sure. If your personal planets are caught up in the late degrees of fixed signs, maybe that's more likely. But wouldn’t you rather expect something good than scare the hell out of yourself? Dread does no one any good. It’s a waste of energy.
Speaking of energy, Thursday brings us a New Moon in Scorpio. Instead of getting into the weeds about every little aspect it makes, why don’t we consider where we’re putting our energy? Wherever 9 degrees Scorpio falls in your chart is a place to think deeply about how you spend your energy. If you’re not happy with it, set intentions for change as this lunar cycle continues. Can you call any of that energy back to yourself?
For the rest of the week, Mercury does a little dance, trining Mars, sextiling Pluto, and ultimately entering Sagittarius on Saturday. If you’re exhausted by how damn heavy everything has felt lately, this should lighten the mood. Of course, Mercury isn’t happy here, but this is Sagittarius – it can be worked with. I like to say that this is the sign where Mercury misses the trees for the forest. We can get so caught up looking at the big picture and our long-term goals that we utterly fail to plan out the steps to get there. Or we feel a sense of ease and largesse and suddenly we’ve spent $300 of takeout in a week when we meant to be saving money.
Finally, Sunday looks like a hell of a day. In fact, I plan to make a separate post later this week dealing with Sunday in particular. But until then, release the fear and use these transits to make your life better, not to fill it with dread.
