Sunday is a Big Deal - Transits for November 3rd

This Sunday, Nov 3rd, is going to be a whopper. Instead of adding it to my weekly transit report, I thought it merited its own post.

Now, I want to be clear that not everyone is going to feel this in the same way. People with planets at the late degrees of Cardinal signs, early degrees of Fixed signs, and around 20 degrees Mutable will be the most affected. With this spread, it’s virtually guaranteed that you or someone you know will be caught up in the drama.

First, we have Mars opposite Pluto. I discussed this transit at length in this post. We already know what where going to do here, right? We’re going to buckle down and do the hard things. We’re going to cut off the rot, do the nasty work, and sleep with a clean conscience. That’s what we’re going to do.

What we’re NOT going to do is run our mouths. See, Mercury is newly in Sagittarius, and it likes to blurt. It will write you a masterful thesis on why the person you're fighting with is a piece of shit. It will bloviate indefinitely if you let it. This is especially likely later in the day as Mars enters Leo and makes a trine with Mercury. It’s about the theater of it all! What’s the point of a battle if it’s not a good show?

But this is not the way to handle this. Think about the people who make grand pronouncements that they’re leaving social media. Do they ever actually stay off? Of course not. So if we want to actually accomplish something, we’re need to do it with quiet, firm resolve. That’s also the way to save face, which Mars in Leo is very interested in. They want to fight, but they want to be the good guy, too. So strive for the honesty Sagittarius provides, but the royal reserve of Leo.

On the plus side, this day also sees Venus in Sagittarius oppose Jupiter in Gemini. I know when people see the world “oppose” they automatically think the worst but these are the two benefics, here! Any aspect between them is pretty sweet. The primary threat here is overindulgence. I can easily envision someone having a tough conversation and then getting absolutely hammered. Or maybe doing some retail therapy. Whatever your thing is. This in itself is not a bad thing. We’ve all been caught in a vice grip lately, and releasing a little tension could do us a world of good. I think it’s no accident that this aspect comes on the heels of Mars opposite Pluto. Let off some steam! But this is a Sunday night, so just make sure you’re functional on Monday morning, yeah?

Overall, this day has a little something for everyone. Finality, grit, drama, theater, and a little fun. Which one dominates will depend on your chart and the charts of the people around you. But the overarching theme is to keep your feet on the ground, your mouth shut, and integrity strong. In other words, speak softly and carry a big stick. And then get plastered, ha!
