The Chair of Miscellaneous Mysteries - Transits for the Week of August 19th

So, today was the big day! Full Moon in Aquarius, Venus squaring Jupiter and opposing Saturn, the Sun squaring Uranus, and Jupiter squaring Saturn.

Did you feel the fireworks? Yeah, me neither.

Instead, I felt busy, pulled in different directions, and to be honest, a bit haunted. It’s certainly a day that could bring something wild, but I think most of us are just trying to get things done. And whatever emotional quirks that do pop up are just minor annoyances.

It’s like having a horror movie villain telling you the call is coming from inside the house, only to reply “Yes STEVE, I know, you’re very scary. But I need to deal with the laundry, so could we maybe do this tomorrow?”

I expect this feeling to last the week.

On Thursday, the Sun enters Virgo, getting us all back into the swing of daily life. Less drama, more doing. Do you need to schedule an appointment with your doctor? When’s the last time you got new glasses? Will Midara finish her Virgo season horoscopes? (Yes, I promise!) Surely you can spare a bit of energy to clean off The Chair of Miscellaneous Mysteries?

Not that there won’t be emotions involved. Thursday also has Venus squaring Mars, which could bring strife in relationships. But with Venus in Virgo and Mars in Gemini, this energy could just as well be used to set boundaries, beautify your space, or eliminate unnecessary tasks from your daily routine.  Cut out the waste instead of cutting your own heart.

On Friday, we get Mercury retrograde in Leo squaring Mars. That idea you had that didn’t quite come to fruition? Maybe now is the time to make it happen. Or even better, come up with a new, better plan. Yes, sure, you could argue. And maybe that argument would even lead to a breakthrough. If that’s how you want t play your cards, have at it. But I think I’ll be looking for a spark of inspiration.
